Firstly I would like to say being a new member I am not out to rock the boat here. But having spent the last couple of weeks looking at and commenting on other peoples images I am beginning to wonder if most people are actually using the group to its full potential. It seems that most only use the group to post their images and nothing else, not many are actually bothering to get involved in posting comments about other peoples images or getting involved in the forum. This group in amazing and has the potential to be one of the best on the net if people bothered to get involved. As an idea maybe there should be a points system for members whereby the more comments you make the more images a member is able to post to the group, or maybe those who do post should have a portfolio section for active members"only" this would hopefully encourage others to get involved more. Does anyone have any input here. |

It would be great to see more interaction on here, Im a newbie to photography so feedback helps a lot. Maybe there could be a "photo analysis" where everyone is encouraged to comment on just one photo, techniques used, how to achieve a particular result, ways to improve an image ? I like the points idea that would show who is really getting involved. |

Hi Kevin. I'm a brand new member in this community, and I also have noticed the "silence". I don't think a point system will help getting members more involved, but serious comments to your uploaded images will encourage to comment on others. I will try to be active commenting images. -Erik- |

I was invited to join this site quite a while back but at the time was too busy to become really involved. Only today have I uploaded some images. I've hooked up with a number of networking sites and yes, people upload but they don't interact. So, I'm active here at last, let's interact :) |
